Ciao, amici!

We have decided to make a blog (time permitting) so you can attempt to keep up with all our adventures!! It took us 3 planes of various sizes, a completely reckless driver, and lots of prayers to get us here, but alas, we are alive and well.

After our initial "Ohmygoshwhatonearthwerewethinkingwewillneversurvive," we managed to get settled in. Having our own cute little balcony helped make it feel homey. We then proceeded to take a nap. Rome looks significantly less intimidating with sleep and food. (Get in mah belly!!) Time for adventures! We found a grocery store and then pretended we were on Master Chef. Not too bad for a couple of ignorant Americans.

We decided we wanted to be brave and try to find the University so we could go on a guided tour, but that ended up turning us into extreme introverts (a near miracle for me) and it was very disorganized and the people didn't know much and then they just left us in the middle of Rome and said good luck finding your way back and it was super stressful, much like you reading that run-on sentence. The good news is that we found some nice churches on the way back. Jesus calmed our fears and helped us regain our confidence. We also accidentally stumbled upon a lay community praying night prayer, so we got to experience that in Italian! We love Jesus a lot.
