Today for archaeology we went to see the Diocletian Baths and the museum that is included. We were rather bored in class, so we started keeping track of the amount of times our professor said "you have to imagine..." It provided us with a fair amount of entertainment because he says it quite frequently. I guess that's what happens when you are primarily looking at ruins. We did see some interesting things though! (Interesting meaning amusing)

We scurried home to work on our papers during lunch. More paper writing! What fun! Oh well, I suppose the experiences we have had are well worth writing a couple of papers.
For our other class, we went to San Giovanni in Laterano and Santa Croce. We got to see the relics of the true cross at Santa Croce. That was incredible. Constantine's mother, Helen, brought the cross back from the Holy Land. If you want to know how she found it and knew it was the actual cross that Jesus was crucified to, you can ask Kelsey or me some time when you're really bored. (I don't want to type all that right now.) We also saw a replica of the Shroud of Turin and our professor explained to us a number of tests that they have done to help support its validity.

We need a map to find Jesus? Wow, He is good at hide and seek!

After class, we went back to our apartment and resumed paper writing!
