Someone Actually Knows Where Pewamo Is

Heeeeeeeeello!
On Sundays, we go to Mass. But first we need to eat breakfast. We had a completely normal breakfast of spaghetti since we somehow managed to eat through all of the classic breakfast foods. Oops. With our bellies fed, it was time to feed our souls. We were especially craving English, so Allison and I caught the bus and headed to Santa Spirito for the 10:00 English mass. Guess who we found outside- none other than our RSM's (Religious Sisters of Mercy from Alma)! We were quite thrilled to see them because of course they are super lovely, and also because they are a piece of home. We know a few of the Sisters from school and home, so it was exciting to talk to the Sisters in Rome about them and have something in common.

Having mass in English was such a blessing. Yes, it is magnificent to be able to go to mass in any language and still know what's going on, that we are still taken back to Golgotha, but there's something special about your own language. I was trying to figure out what it was in particular that I had missed so much, and I finally realized it was community. I missed having a group of people I could geek out with about Jesus (in English) and have people say "Peace be with you," instead of "Pace," not that pace isn't nice or anything.

After mass, we said our reluctant good byes to the Sisters and headed home. We wanted to get back and get some homework done, but managed to get a little distracted....

Yuuuuuuuuummy

I got some pistachio/raspberry and something that tasted like cinnamon bread in gelato form, and Allison got licorice and pistachio. It was a very good decision.

The rest of the afternoon was fairly uneventful. Allison was productive like a good girl and got most of her presentation done, while I continued to deny the existence of my mountain of homework and instead Skyped both my adopted parents (Kaleb and Alyssa) and my real parents (Jim and Bev). We also made a scrumptious chicken dinner with potatoes, baked at 250 degrees Celsius, just the way we like them.

So productive

Allison finally had enough of the windows slamming, so she silenced them with science

Shamelessly dipping our cheese in chicken grease

At about 11:00, Allison and I suddenly realized we had a midterm tomorrow, so that was unfortunate. We studied for a bit, then said the heck with it like the rebels that we are, and went to sleep.

I miei compiti in realta non esiste,
Kelsey and Allison
